Principal Consultant – Henry Pollock
Mr. Pollock started his quality career in the Quality Control Department of GTE Sylvania, Smithfield, NC, performing troubleshooting and life cycle testing of consumer electronics. He continues to enjoy consumer electronic devices as a hobby and is a government licensed amateur radio operator.
Henry has 35 years experience in the nuclear power industry as a quality assurance specialist in the areas of quality programs, internal and external audits, and source verification inspections at Carolina Power & Light Company, Progress Energy and Duke Power Company. A large amount of his external audit experience has been in the performance of Nuclear Procurement Issues Committee (NUPIC) team audit efforts. Mr. Pollock was his company’s NUPIC Representative for a number of years and participated on the organization’s Steering Committee.
Mr. Pollock has an Associate of Applied Science degree in Electronics Engineering from Wayne Community College. He is currently qualified as an ANSI N45.2.23 Lead Auditor and was previously certified as an ASQ Quality Engineer.
As an employee of Duke Power (formerly Progress Energy and Carolina Power & Light), Mr. Pollock led and participated in numerous performance-based internal assessments and audits of external suppliers. In addition, he performed numerous source verification activities at external suppliers. He has experience with corrective action program implementation relative to identifying and resolving problems, and has experience in root cause analysis.
